A 60 inch holographic iWindow touchscreens was the eye catcher on the Electrolux booth at Sici fair in Madrid, 2010. The iWindow holoscreen showed a 3D kitchen configurator where users can design there own dream kitchen. The iWindow holoscreen is a real eyecatcher for tradeshows, true minority report comes to life.

The iWindow was that successful, that the Spanish National TV did a live show from the Electrolux booth!

All this fancy hardware was installed and configured by our qualified technicians.

What we have been up to lately

The last quarter of 2009 was quite a busy period for the AV, as well as the Multimedia department of Create. Our AudioVisual branch has supported many meetings over the last 3 months. A brief list of the most challenging congresses:

  • Radecs – Bruges
  • EuroSpine – Warsaw (Poland)
  • Interreg – Ostend
  • Reumato – Mechelen
  • SARB – Ostend

Our Multimedia department as well has finished some challenging projects, as there were:

Nokia N97 Mini campaign

For the promotion of this successor of Nokia’s flagship device, the Nokia N97, we created an adapted version of the N97 application, to be placed as an interactive kiosk. These eye-catching totems were spread out over Belgium & the Netherlands in key selling points. They have proven to be great tools for phone resellers, as they mimic the interface of the actual device, which makes the totems perfect for convincing potential buyers of the N97 mini.

Nokia N900 campaign

There has been quite a buzz around this new Maemo-powered device. It’s mindblowing specifications, combined with the opensource operating system, can bring a true mobile computer to a user’s pocket. For the launch of this incredible device, we came up with an interactive totem, which explained the power of the combination of Maemo and the N900. We did this by combining several video’s, an interactive demo of the panoramic desktop-feature, and a brief summary of the specs of the device.

These totems were spread across the Netherlands, since the campaign focusses on this specific country. In addition to the totems placed in key selling points, there were a few extra totems, which were placed at mobile conferences during the month of December.

To support this interactive campaign online, we made a webversion of the touch-application as well. You can take a look for yourself via one of the following url’s:

KBC Campus Tour

The Belgian bank & insurrance company KBC has the kind habbit of wishing students in the larger cities in the country a good start of the academic year, by supporting their events at the year’s kickoff. This year, KBC wanted to bring interactivity to their booth, and asked Create to come up with a solution in the line of their online campaign.

This online campaign consisted out of a pixel-designed game. Our development team started working on an eye-catching multiplayer game, to be placed at the kickoff-events. The final result was a ball-throwing game, being shown on our big projection screen. We used the same technique as we did for the Proximus game, earlier last year.

Our new holo-screen

The last weeks, we have been finetuning the newest acquisition of our Interactivity devision. Below you can see a video-demo of this 63 inch iWindow holo-screen. The screen is dual-touch enabled, which opens up a whole new range of possibilities in the interaction with users. As demonstrated in the video, we have pushed the transparancy of this holoscreen to the max, by using our state-of-the-art rear projection foils.

Supreme image quality is achieved by using one of our Full-HD Barco HD8 projectors.  The combination of the 1920 x 1080 resolution, and the maximum brightness of up to 8000 lumen, delivers a truly amazing image.

We look forward to another exciting year, with many challenging upcoming or ongoing projects!

Happy 2010 from the entire Create team!
