Gravity Francophonie - Paris

Projection mapping @ Francophonie Paris

Concept

Gravity by Julien Gachadoit is an interactive, real-time installation in which architecture, telephony and typography blend together. Its aim is to bring about a poetic dialogue between architecture and the audience by interpreting the SMS messages it receives.

We're always keen to do some video mapping onto buildings. We worked in close collaboration with the artist to make sure his installation had the best possible technical support.

Projection mapping

Video mapping is a technique that is used to project digital graphics onto real life objects. This can be pretty much anything: buildings, cars, .... Video mapping combines the digital world with the real stuff. Using 3D animations you can really create nice effects.

If you're interested in using video mapping for your projected, feel free to give us a ring.

Hardware and support

For this installation we used a couple of Barco projectors and Coolux media servers. Depending on the building we adapted the video mapping. Every pixel was perfectly alligned.

For this particular artist CREATE supported mapping installations both in Belgium and France.
